Xtreme Gap focuses on Adventure and Sports Travel. All programmes have a lot to offer. Weather they are in Europe or in Africa and whether it is for 1 day or 12 weeks, you feel great. We are very proud to say that we have done all our gap year sport adventures, like the diving and gap year surfing. We know what we are talking about when we tell you how it feels to see a whale shark whilst diving, or what it feels like to ride a wave for the first time.
Our newest focus is on gap year surfing programmes. Why? Well we have so many requests in, and we understand you want choice. So we give you just that. With Xtreme Gap you can choose to surf in Africa, in South America, in Australia or Europe, and shortly we will have surfing in Asia too. Because we feel Bali is not to be missed, we just have not had the time to explore yet.
In Portugal, with the gap year surf programme, we have lots of extras to offer. Not only will you receive 1,5 hour of surfing lessons in the morning and then again in the afternoon, they will teach you with patience and a smile. Portuguese are very patient and relaxed and most of all friendly. The surf camp is on the beach and they have their own camp side just 1 km away from the beach.
During the gap year surfing programme you will not just be surfing. Next to excellent surf conditions in Portugal you also find great sea food, nice barbeques at the accommodation site, good wines and Sagres beer, and most important of all a great social life. We often organize barbeques that you can join and where DJs will be playing all night long.
Do not be afraid to travel alone on a gap year surfing. You will meet many like minded people from all over the world. Because this programme is open to all levels, all ages and to men and women. Most of our travelers travel alone any way, it is a great way to be free and meet new friends. During the long summer nights, it is light until very late, you socialize all you want!
Where Xtreme Gap has surf programmes? Well right now we have gap year surfing programmes in Portugal bear the most western point of Europe with wonderful secluded beaches, great food and great waves, we have a learn to surf camp in South Africa in Muizenberg, we have surfing programmes like learn to surf but also a 3 month surf instructor course in two camps in Australia between Sydney and Byron Bay, and we have a programme in Ecuador that combines surfing with learning Spanish.
You get the most out of your gap year surfing if you take it all the way to surfing instructor course. This way you can earn your money as a surf instructor all over the world and not only learn how to surf but also how to teach others.
