As a Virtual Assistant of relatively long standing in this industry (1999), I have a VA website that covers most of my services, which works very well for me as an online brochure – don’t you just love being available to prospective clients any time at place?

As I sat thinking about it, I decided to write down a list of my services and then analyse what I really do well. When it came to it, getting it down on paper was the hardest part (it’s a bit like going to the gym, dreadful to get out the door, but once you’re there on the treadmill, you’re pleased as punch!); but as soon as I started and wrote down my top service (and here’s the important thing), my favourite service, my pen started to flow.

I was now defining how I offered my VA Niche, which happens to be digital transcription; the types of files that I transcribe, how long it takes to transcribe files, depending on clarity and the number of people speaking etc. Then what about security? The internet provides great tools like SendThisFile, (so that clients can send encrypted, compressed voice files that just don’t go astray). So now I’m offering a confidential and secure VA Niche – a high priority to my prospective clients!

What I was really pleased about was getting rid of the negatives. No longer did it look like I was ‘Jack of all Trades’ or that I was waffling about all and sundry just to fill a page. I could get down to the nitty gritty of being straight to the point and the client would know exactly what was on offer.

My VA business partner, Di Chapman http://:www.iceni-it.co.uk and I http://www.alternative-office.com are now helping new and aspiring Virtual Assistants worldwide either get off the starting block with a great first website, or Virtual Assistants already in business with a second niche website – Check out Wannabe a VA http://www.wannabe-a-va.com, and put yourself on the virtual map – Present Your VA Niche On Your Website!

When you come round to updating your alarm clock you will find that the designs have modernized significantly. You will have so much choice when it comes to replacing your old clock that you will find it an extensive process. You will be able to choose from digital alarm clocks, radio alarm clock, mp3 alarm clock players, sunrise alarm clocks and many others. There is a vast variety of styles and brands but you must choose the clock most suited to your lifestyle.

You will find alarm clocks sold in a number of stores around the country. They are available in most technology stores and also available on the internet. If you choose to buy your alarm clock from the internet you will need to take care in doing so. You may end up buying a clock which is not right for the tasks that you have in mind.

When you are browsing through the many alarm clocks on the market at present the main thing to keep in mind is that you need an alarm clock which is reliable. You will notice that alarm clocks are available in a range of prices and the cheapest is not always the best choice.

Alarm clocks today have been designed in a compact style. This is a bonus as you no longer encounter problems like lack of space. These clocks have the ability to be placed anywhere you want.

When you look at these styled alarm clocks you will also notice that often they are designed to fold into themselves. This is so the clock is protected and the face does not get damage. This also helps minimise wear and tear, keeping the clock looking brand new. This perhaps is the best style of clock available at this moment in time.

It is a good idea to have in mind what you are looking for. The choice is excessively vast if you do not. Some alarm clocks operate with the use of batteries whilst others do not. It is important you choose which working mechanism is best for you.

If you consider all the possibilities available to you, you will be assured that you are choosing an alarm clock which will fit into your life and constantly provide you with good quality. Never forget that a small and sturdy alarm clock is the most reliable.

That is why many of web users today are doing a complete background check on those people around them. The same holds true for trying to lookup public records. This act was passed as a way to protect you and help you to make wise decisions in who you associate with.

Especially for someone in a position of authority or trust, this is very important. The only drawback is that it isn’t free, but fortunately the fees involved are quite small in comparison. It’s a very wise decision to do a criminal records search. At one time only those employed by the police department or a private investigator had access to the information, but in the modern day with the use of technology we all have the opportunity to utilize criminal background information without the need for tedious paperwork, long lines and information that could not tell the whole story. These reports where compiled from different states where the incidents occur and then encoded in a central database.

This connotes their core focus may not be on actually executing criminal background inspections. A close friend that I have began seeing a girl he met online. Punch it in between quotations and also add in the city of the person if you know it (ex. “Bill Freeman” Florida).

Have your friends recently commented on your weight? Since well-meaning friends would always your best interest at heart, they may have a point. Consider who complains about your weight. Is the person really concerned about you overall well-being? Is he being reasonable? Is the recommendation from your doctor? If so, take their recommendation into consideration. Do not become embarrassed when you are told that you need to lose weight. Bear in mind that the person making the recommendation may really have your interest at heart. So don’t turn a deaf ear to their recommendation because they are concerned, not only about you appearance but also about your health.

A fourth sign that you may need to lose weight is when you notice that tasks that you normally carry out with ease now cause so much tension. While it is true that becoming out of breath from simple activities may not necessarily be a weight problem, there is a chance that it is. Just lose weight a little, and you would likely see a drastic change in your stamina.

This list of signs that shows you need to lose weight is definitely not exhaustive but a good beginning. It is important that you apply caution when starting an exercise program. Before proceeding, it is wise that you consult your doctor so that you can make the best out of your weight loss program.

It seems that more than ever our busy lifestyles require cleaning services to help keep things clean. Doing this should allow you to focus on other activities and free up more of your time. When it comes to hiring a service, you always need to be wary of incompetence. You need professionals to handle your cleaning needs.

Perhaps using a cleaning service has already crossed your mind. If this is the case, be sure to select a company that can truly offer you what you want. It is similar to cleaning west hollywood. For this reason, it is important to choose a professional cleaning service that has a solid reputation for being competent and thorough.

Your cleaning needs will need to be determined in order to get started. Although it might sound good, it is not like west hollywood. Depending on the location and use, some areas may require more regular cleaning than others. Not only will you have to decide how thorough the cleaning will need to be, but you will also need to decide how frequently it should be cleaned.

Delivering consistent results is something that you are paying for, so it is not really optional. This is similar to cleaning west hollywood. The convenience of having a professional cleaning service will be something you will enjoy considerably. When selecting a cleaning company it is wise to use companies that have selected employees that are properly insured and have performed extensive background checks.

This may seem a bit obvious, but skipping this step could prove to cost you a lot in the long run. Also be sure that the company utilizes best practices including employees wearing uniforms and maintaining regular schedules.

You will find that many cleaning services also offer supplemental services. A competent cleaning provider will always ensure that you receive proper services that are always satisfactory. In addition to being more enjoyable, a clean area is also better for your health.

Photographing gemstones for sale can require a lot or trial and error but here are a few tips that may help you. My goal is not really to create a work of art but rather to produce an accurate representation of the gemstone. Lighting is by far more important than your camera setup but a few features on your camera are essential. A camera with manual mode that allows you to choose a custom white balance in Kelvin is a must as well as a good macro lens. I like the Nikkor 105mm macro lens so that I’m far enough from the gemstone to use my lighting setup. With this lens you can get about 6-8 inches away from the gemstone which allows for enough room to move your lights around.

I use three different lighting setups depending on what type of stone I’m shooting. I like to use a LED ring light for some gems and usually white balance at approximately 6700 Kelvin. Even with proper white balancing though the LED lights will overemphasize the blue in some gems. The LED setup works pretty well for Columbian emeralds though.  I also use a light tent with a couple daylight fluorescent bulbs that I white balance at around 5600K. For gemstones mounted in jewelry I use a light on each side of the tent but if I’m shooting cabochons I use only one. For shooting loose gemstones I find the two fluorescent flood lights work best without using a tent.

One mistake is to try to shoot gemstone pictures at the highest aperture setting. Often a really high depth of field will bring out too many details from the back of the gem and make it look much worse than with your naked eye. Try experimenting with a lower f-stop like f-11 or f-16 and see how it looks. Most of the time you will want to focus on the edge of the gemstone. If you are shooting product photos a white or gray background is always best to accurately represent the color of the gemstone you are selling.

But there are online professional record providers who work round the clock and provide information you need instantly. The records are all clear indications of events that have appeared throughout ones existence. They make this information available in an easy to use web site, where for a small fee anyone can do extensive death records research simply by entering a few bits of information about the person they are researching. For example, obituaries can offer clues about cause of death if that information is officially withheld or protected, likewise marriage and divorce, occupation, medical and other matters deemed classified, sensitive or confidential by the authorities.

You can easily locate the dead person’s name but not the cause of death itself when you find death records. After all, they hold the most original and updated information and are in fact referenced by higher government and commercial information brokers. In most cases, this may require you to pay minimal amount in order to use their online services; but, many users were greatly satisfied with the results in using their facilities. Again, the various state agencies operate individually in administering the service of public records.

Requesting the death records can help substantiate your claim that you are in fact, alive and well. Other agencies also refer to this sort of data while they work on subjects like average age on people, reasons of death etc. and thus looking at the overall importance of this kind of data. Sometimes death records may help people to find ancestors.

Photography is the result of combining several technical inventions . Long before the first photographs were made, Chinese philosopher Mo Ti described a pinhole camera in the 5th century, Albertus Magnus discovered silver nitrate and Georges Fabricius discovered silver chloride. Daniel Barbaro described a diaphragm in 1568. Wilhelm Homberg described how light darkened some chemicals (photochemical effect) in 1694. The fiction book Giphantie, published in 1760, by French author Tiphaigne de la Roche, described what can be interpreted as photography.

Photography as a usable process goes back to the 1820s with the development of chemical photography. The first visible photograph was an image produced in 1825 by the French inventor Nicéphore Niépce. However, because his photographs took so long to expose, he sought to find a new process. Working with Louis Daguerre, they experimented with silver compounds based on a Johann Heinrich Schultz discovery in 1724 that a silver and chalk mixture darkens when exposed to light. Niépce died in 1833, but Daguerre continued the work, eventually culminating with the development of the daguerreotype in 1837. Daguerre took the original photo of a person in 1839 when, while taking a daguerreotype of a Paris street, a pedestrian stopped for a shoe shine, long enough to be captured by the long exposure (several minutes). Eventually, France agreed to pay Daguerre a pension for his formula, in exchange for his promise to announce his discovery to the world as the gift of France, which he did in 1839.

Meanwhile, Hercules Florence had already developed a very similar process in 1832, naming it Photographie and William Fox Talbot had earlier discovered another means to fix a silver process image but had kept it secret. After reading about Daguerre’s invention, Talbot refined his process so that portraits were made readily available to the masses. By 1840, Talbot had invented the calotype process, which deliveres negative images. John Herschel made many contributions to the new methods. He invented the cyanotype process, now familiar as the “blueprint”. He was the first to use the terms “photography”, “negative” and “positive”. He discovered sodium thiosulphate solution to be a solvent of silver halides in 1819, and informed Talbot and Daguerre of his discovery in 1839 that it could be used to “fix” pictures and make them permanent. He made the first glass negative in late 1839.

In March 1851, Frederick Scott Archer shared his findings in “The Chemist” on the wet plate collodion process. This became the most widely used process between 1852 and the late 1880s when the dry plate was introduced. There are three subsets to the Collodion process; the Ambrotype (positive image on glass), the Ferrotype or Tintype (positive image on metal) and the negative which was printed on Albumen or Salt paper.

Many developments in photographic glass plates and printing were made in through the nineteenth century. In 1884, George Eastman developed the technology of film to replace photographic plates, leading to the technology used by film cameras today.

In 1908 Gabriel Lippmann won the Nobel Laureate in Physics for his way of reproducing colours photographically based on the phenomenon of interference, also known as the Lippmann plate.

Processes

Black and White Images

Pictures originally were monochrome and even after colour film was easily available, the commercial photographer used black and white photographic images and prints in preference.

It is important to note that some monochromatic pictures are not always pure blacks and whites, but also contain other hues depending on the process. The Cyanotype process produces an image of blue and white for example. The albumen process which was used more than 150 years ago had brown tones.

Many photographers continue to produce some black and white images. Some full colour digital images are processed using a variety of techniques to create black and whites, and some cameras have even been produced to exclusively shoot monochrome.

Colour

Colour photography was explored at the beginning in the mid 1800s. Early tests in colour could not fix the photograph and prevent the colour from fading. The first permanent colour photo was taken in 1861 by the physicist James Clerk Maxwell.

Early colour photographs were taken by Prokudin-Gorskii (1915). One of the early methods of taking colour photos was to use three cameras. Each camera would have a colour filter in front of the lens. This process provides the photographer with the three basic channels required to recreate a colour still in a darkroom or processing plant . Russian photographer Sergei Mikhailovich Prokudin-Gorskii developed another technique, with three colour plates taken in quick succession.

A practical application of the process was held back by the very limited colour response of early film, however, in the early 1900s, following the work of photo-chemists such as H. W. Vogel, emulsions with adequate sensitivity to green and red light at last became available.

The first colour plate, Autochrome, invented by the French Lumière brothers, reached the market in 1907. It was based on a ’screen-plate’ filter made of dyed dots of potato starch, and was the only colour film on the market until German Agfa introduced the similar Agfacolor in 1932. In 1935, American Kodak introduced the first modern (‘integrated tri-pack’) colour film which was developed by Polish constructor Jan Szczepanik. It was Kodachrome, based on three coloured emulsions. This was followed in 1936 by Agfa’s Agfacolor Neue. Unlike the Kodachrome tri-pack process, the colour couplers in Agfacolor Neue were integral with the emulsion layers, which greatly simplified the film processing . Most contemporary colour films, except Kodachrome, are based on the Agfacolor Neue technology. Instant colour film was introduced by Polaroid in 1963.

Colour photography may form images as a positive transparency, intended for use in a slide projector or as colour negatives intended for use in creating positive colour prints on specially coated paper. The latter is now the most common form of film (non-digital) colour photography owing to the introduction of automated photo printing equipment.

Full spectrum photography ultraviolet and infrared

Ultraviolet and infrared films have been available for decades and employed in a variety of photographic avenues since the 1960s. New technological developments in digital photography have opened a new direction in full spectrum photography, where careful filtering choices across the ultraviolet, visible and infrared lead to new artistic visions.

Modified digital cameras can display some ultraviolet light and all of the visible and much of the near infrared spectrum. As most digital imaging sensors are sensitive from about 350 nm to 1000 nm. An off-the-shelf digital camera contains an infrared hot mirror filter that blocks most of the infrared and a bit of the ultraviolet that would otherwise be detected by the sensor, narrowing the accepted range from about 400 nm to 700 nm. Replacing a hot mirror or infrared blocking filter with an infrared pass or a wide spectrally transmitting filter allows the camera to detect the wider spectrum light at greater sensitivity. Missing the hot-mirror, the red, green and blue (or cyan, yellow and magenta) coloured micro-filters placed over the sensor elements pass varying amounts of ultraviolet (blue window) and infrared (primarily red, and somewhat lesser the green and blue micro-filters).

Uses of full spectrum photography are for fine art photography, geology, forensics and law enforcement and even some claimed use in ghost hunting.

Digital Photography

The Nikon D1 was the first DSLR to truly compete with and begin to replace, film cameras in the professional photojournalism and sports photography fields and was the start of something very new.

The commercial photographer had quite a challenge on his hands, how to get the picture developed quickly and delivered to the newspapers while out on location, while being in competition with real time television and without the readily available processing facilities.

Press and News photographers at remote locations often carried miniature photo labs and a means of transmitting images through telephone lines. In 1981, Sony unveiled the first public camera to use a charge-coupled device for imaging, eliminating the need for film: the Sony Mavica. While the Mavica saved images to disk, the images were displayed on television and the camera was not fully digital. In 1990, Kodak unveiled the DCS 100, the first commercially available digital camera. Although its high cost precluded uses other than photojournalism and professional photography, commercial digital photography was born.

Digital imaging uses an electronic image sensor to record the image as a set of electronic data rather than as chemical changes on film. The primary difference between digital and chemical photography is that chemical photography resists manipulation because it involves film and photographic paper, while digital imaging is a highly adaptable medium. This difference allows for a degree of image post-processing that is comparatively difficult in film-based photography and permits different communicative potentials and applications.

Digital compact cameras have become widespread public products, outselling film cameras and including new features such as video and audio recording. Kodak announced back in January 2004 that it would no longer sell reloadable 35 mm cameras in western Europe, Canada and the United States after the end of that year. Kodak was at that time a minor player in the reloadable film cameras market. In January 2006, Nikon followed suit and announced that they will stop the production of all but two models of their film cameras: the low-end Nikon FM10, and the high-end Nikon F6. On May 25, 2006, Canon stated that they will stop developing new film SLR cameras. Though most new camera designs are now digital, a new 6×6cm/6×7cm medium format film camera was introduced in 2008 in a co-operation between Fuji and Voigtländer.

According to a study made by Kodak in 2007, 75 percent of professional photographers say they will continue to use film, even though some embrace digital.

A survey held in the U.S. showed that over two thirds of the professional photographer group that compared film images to digital images liked the film results better for some circumstances which included:

  • film’s superiority in capturing more information on medium and large format films (48 percent);
  • creating a traditional photographic look (48 percent);
  • capturing shadow and highlighting details (45 percent);the wide exposure latitude of film (42 percent); and
  • archival storage. (38 percent)

Digital capture has raised many ethical concerns because of the ease of manipulating digital photographs in post processing. Many snappers have declared they will not crop their pictures, or are forbidden from combining elements of multiple photos to make “illustrations,” passing them as real photographs. Today’s technology has made picture editing relatively simple for even the novice photographer. However, recent changes of in camera processing allows digital fingerprinting of RAW photos to verify against tampering of digital photos for forensics use.

Camera phones, combined with popular photo sharing web sites, have lead the way to a new kind of social photography. But that is a whole new article.

A tankless water heater (also called instantaneous, continuous flow, inline or on-demand heaters) instantly heat water as it flows through the device. Where the traditional tank-style water heater held 30-50 gallons of water in reserve, the tankless water heater doesn't retain any water internally except for what is around the heat exchanger coil.

Some systems have a tankless heater in a central location (much like the traditional tank style), but most have more than one unit located close to the point of use (POU). A tankless heater might be located in the attic above the bathroom, in the shower itself, or under the kitchen sink. Their relatively small size (about the size of a briefcase) allows a lot of flexibility as to their location.

Tankless units can be split into two categories: "full on /full off&#34 or "modulated." As the name would suggest, a full-on/full-off unit doesn't have a variable output level; it's either on, or it isn't. Modulated tankless heaters base the heat output according to the flow of water running through the unit, modulating the gas valve and outlet so that the user receives the same temperature of water regardless of the flow.

Until recently, most tankless water heaters were electric, but newer models can run on natural gas or propane. Newer models can also deliver as much as 11 gallons of hot water per minute (such as the Noritz 841MC Series), which can meet any hot water needs. Everyone is familiar with the period of waiting for hot water from a conventional water heater, as the cold water in the lines must clear first before hot water comes through. With instantaneous heating from a Noritz tankless water heater, there's no wait for hot water (thereby saving on the water bill). Just one of many good reasons to buy a tankless water heater.

Noritz, in particular, has a dual flame design, with a second row of burners that burn the unburned gas that comes from the first row (all other competitors have a single-burner system). This means more efficient operation and fewer temperature fluctuations.

The heat exchanger of a water heater is perhaps its most critical element, as it is the component that is heated up to conduct heat to the water itself. After countless cycles of heating and cooling down, some heat exchangers can wind up with cracks or leaks. Noritz heat exchangers are made from copper piping that's 25%

thicker than most other brands. Commercial-grade components for residential applications; that's the Noritz design and quality advantage.
